Exactly, it is seen, but looks quite slightly different from what actually Thor's helmet is. And based on the trailer, it seems like it was used just to shut me up. Because he doesn't use it quite much.

Why does it look pathetic? It's true that it doesn't look like a Thor movie should look. It should've been made more with Lord of the Rings style, but since the beginnings we had the Marvel ruin a Norse god and set his adventure in the united states then we can't actually expect much. What seems good is that they have the intention to merge Thor's realm to the 'real' world, so we can enjoy somewhat credible Avenger's movie (as least as realistic as Marvel characters can get, because of superpowers and all that).
Even the 'cloudy' scenario for Asgard seems to be referencing to the old series (that even was made into a cartoon), where a Rainbow lead from Earth to Asgard, also since Loki will not be the main Villain in the Avengers movie, they give him the role of Asgards tyrant, that seems good, since the kingdom is to be in the hands of the 13th Norse god, who is the most evil of them all. Imagine, the realm of Asgard under the command of the heir of Odin's enemies, the giants froum the icy mountains, Loki. Hahahahaha, this is amazing. Though I know it won't be handled like that.
It doesn't seem bad actually, film-story-wise. Odin's son powers taken away, Loki siezing his oportunity to rise up to power, Thor struggling to find a way to reverse his father's curse and regain his power, while Earth is receiving the threat of a cosmic creature, and Asgard is in danger for falling under the obscure era of a realm of tirany.
I know this movie won't live up to my expectations, but even then it doesn't seem pathetic, unless you are referring to the costumes, I agree.
