Chapter 28: Savoy Truffle

"Well...that was...expected, actually." Zen said. "Now let's continue before the earthworms become self-aware as well."

"Aren't they alread-Oww!" Vulk yelled, as Zen slapped him. "Will you stop doing that?!?!"

A few moments later, they had reached another doorway. "So...umm...what did Meg say about a Truffle?" JXM asked.

"I hope it's not one of those white truffles made from mushrooms. Those are disgusting." Vulk responded, shivering. "Although, if it's a choclate truffle..."

"DID SOMEBODY SAY 'CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE'?!" A voice boomed from behind the doorway.

"Umm...yes?"

"Oh, okay. ENTER!"

And so the Band did. Inside, they discovered a small, square room. In the middle, there was a pedestal, and atop it was a circular object. As the other three stayed back, Vulk strayed closer. "Oh my God...it is! It is! It's a Chocolate Truffle!"

"I prefer being called a 'he,' not an 'it,' thank you very much. That title is only reserved for Clowns and Howard."

"Sorry...I didn't expect you to talk."

"Well I bet you didn't expect alot of things in these chambers either."

"Not really."

"Exactly." replied the Truffle. "Now...there can only be one reason you've come. Glados sent you because the Cuttlefish has begun the final phase."

"Uh...yeah."

"Good. Well you've come to the right place."

"Wait..." Zen said, "Are you implying that YOU created the Yellow Submarine?"

"Not at all. I...helped. But I did not physically make it, no."

"Then who did?"

"A civilization that is parallel to ours...well, cosmically."

"You mean..."

"Yes, it's in the Water Dimension."

"And we're in the fire dimension?"

"Well I haven't seen any suns made out of water here, so yes."

"But you can still stop the Cuttlefish?"

"Yes. I was made to."

"By who?"

"The same people who made the Yellow Submarine, and the Cuttlefish...well, partially."

"I don't understand."

"Well, of course you don't. All you need to know is that the Cuttlefish is about to end the universe as we know it, unless we can stop him very soon. We have to get to the Portal before the Cuttlefish does."

"Wait....you mean the portal that-"

"Yes. The one you used to escape this planet, Stranger Earth, a few hundred years ago, or days ago, whichever you prefer. That's what caused the crater you probably saw earlier. Debris from this dimension and the other have been sucked through the portals for centuries, and in a few hours they will come in contact. When they do, gravity and other physical forces will become unstable."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"Well, since you aren't a major in quantum physics, I don' t think any of you have a respectable opinion on that point." The Truffle replied. "Now hurry, we have to leave before-"

Suddenly the room shook.

"Hello Stranger Earth. I am here to assume Direct Control."

Chapter 29: Completely Different.

"And so, the Band escapes the Temple, and head for the crater, and-"

"Achem."

"They try to find-"

"ACHEM."

Vulk stopped. "What?"

The man at the back of the room massaged his temples for the fiftieth time that day. "You still have not explained what kind of media this is..."

"Oh." Vulk paused. "Well you see, with Lord of the Games being a film trilogy, and Posters of the Caribbean being a set of novels, GAC would be something different. With the unprecedented amount of cash this franchise will generate, and the improvement of technology by the time we get to that step, the G:AC would be new. It would be a chip, inserted in everyone's brain everywhere. No one will argue because this will be incredibly popular, you see. And we'll simply beam the data I have created to their heads, and their imaginations will construct what I have written!"

Once again, the entire board said nothing. Except...for the man at the back of the room.

"Mr...Vulk. You do realize that we are in no position to-"

"As always, Mr. Biggins, you don't have a choice."

"Of course."

Well that was sort of a BLAM episode...

  I had my reasons for writing it. Mainly that I realized that in my plan I had basically told myself to write the same thing two chapters in a row (kindof). So I wrote this. And it's not a BLAM....almost, but not quite.


But yeah.

Chapter 30: Final Run

The Band, along with the Truffle, ran to the Submarine. Overhead, the Cuttlefish and his fleet began to block out the Sun.

"Glados, we need to launch!" Vulk screamed.

"Okay. We're done with repairs. Through Bobbo out, Kalash."

"What?" Bobbo asked. "I thought you said-AAAAAAACKK!" He screamed as he was punched in the face and thrown out the doorway. The Band trampled on him-again-as they boarded.

"Take us to the center of the crater! That's where the Cuttlefish is headed!" The Truffle yelled.

"Oh, hello Truffle." Glados replied. "It's been a while."

"Yes, it has. NOW GO!!!"

The Submarine raced. It wasn't long before it was spotted.

"Sir!" DL yelled via comlink, "I think we've found them."

"Leave them. They have no chance now."

"I'm getting strange readings. I believe they have another lifeform on board, but it's...different."

The Cuttlefish paused. "They must have it. Go through the Portal. I shall deal with them myself."

The droid ships continued to the portal at the center of the canyon as the Cuttlefish adjusted his trajectory.

"Hey," Vulk said, "I think this is where Mordor used to be."

"That's because you put the Portal there." The Truffle replied.

"We've got company." Zen said, as lazers burned the ground just near the Submarine.

"TRUFFLE!" The Cuttlefish screamed. "YOU HAVE FAILED! "Fire is about to fall. Water won't last much longer after that!" She shot more lazers, as Glados rapidly swerved around them.

Glados was about to activate the loudspeaker when something changed. There was a pause, as if the entire world froze, then the planet began to implode rapidly.

"What's happening?!?" JXM screamed.

"The universe has hit the gravitational threshold! It's all going to get sucked in!" The Truffle screamed. The Cuttlefish laughed maniacally as he was sucked into the Portal. The Submarine quickly, and unwillingly followed him. "Glados, you need to fly at full speed. Our only chance is to regroup at the Caribbean.

Glados afirmed the orders, as something suddenly hit the windshield.

"Oh...hai!" Quesada said. "You wouldn't mind letting me in, would you?"

The Band exchanged glances, then went throught the Portal. They once again entered the void between the two dimensions. Quesada quickly choked to death.

The Droid ships began firing at the group of seven, and plasma bounced off the shields. Fortunatley, it wasn't enough to deter the ship as it quickly made it to the world of the Caribbean.

"They...got away, sir."

"It is no matter. Soon the Carribbean will be crushed and the universe will be mine. Is everyone here?"

"Almost. The Droids are, the Covenant just entered, and the last ones...ah, there they are.

Tens of thousands of Reapers suddenly entered the Portal from Stranger Earth.

"Excellent."

2 weeks remaining, by the way. I've finally caught up to my pre-trip schedule, and can take 1-day breaks between arcs.

And the last 2 will be....delicious.


Edit: But if you're sad of the upcoming end, don't fret, my friends. The next PotC installment will begin as soon as I can find a script, or get the dvd (next summer at the earliest), and the Hibbot parts 1 and 2 will come eventually...2012 at the earliest...although at the rate that film keeps getting delayed, I don't know.
