Hmm... right, that makes perfect sense. Cut the military budget for a faction that is short on ships in the first place and is in a (supposedly) losing war.

Yeah. That makes a lot of sense  Rolling Eyes

I wrote this on starwars.com clone wars guide about that episode:

"This episode basically was... what's the word? Yes, stupid. Who, in his perfect sense thinks that "maybe we should cut on the military budget" in a war time "so the diplomacy can be restarted". Do I sense a lack of logic in this line of though?! I mean, I never saw CIS interested in diplomacy before and the "lets reduce our army" thing as a sign of good faith would never work because CIS (and especially the Sith Lords, the "peace questers" in person) would only take advantage of it to completely crush the republic. And the inspector... Who had the brilliant idea of introducing Pink Panther's Inspector Clouseau in the Star Wars universe? Oh, and if that is the best they could come up with, I wonder how many crimes are unsolved in Coruscant. As for the final, I could see it miles away and the cliché of the villain getting captured after explaining its motives (which weren't that strong to begin with), is getting old.Like Linkara would say, this show SUCKS!"

After a reply from an user...:

"EVANTHETOON, Padmé more than anyone should know that after the events of episode II and still wants to pass that law?!? I don't if she's either naive, idealist or pure dumb. By the way, I love how the senator took homage to the fallen senator by NOT showing in this funeral... And got to love Mee Deechi, the senator that's a bad person just for the sake of being so."

Lol.

You know, I can laugh, but then it hits me that it's canon....  Sad 2

Another 20 min of my life wasted seeing this s***.

First of all let's see what may be some canon issues. Admiral Wullf Yularen (the only admiral in the whole republic, apparently) discovers that Admiral Trench (very subtle name, by the way) is responsible by the blockade of Christophsis (yes, that planet again!) and warns Anakin of him. The thing is that he talks about Trench as a really old foe and Anakin even refers remembering him from "military history". That means there were some kind of a conflict before the clone wars and I don't think he could have been a captain during the stark hyperspace wars (the way he talks makes on guess he was at least the capt. of a capital ship and since the stark wars were 44 BBY, he would had 20 years or so back then).

Second: Admiral Trench. With so many star wars races at his choice, they had to invented a six-arm spider like species with a strange accent which is always playing with his teeth and knows how devious bad and genius he is. He can be described simply as a Thrawn-wanna be (with apologies to Thrawn). If they work as much in the script as coming up with this kind of things, this would be a great show.

Third: The most interesting part of this episode. They tried to do a submarine vs destroyer kind of episode by introducing a stealth ship to the republic fleet.
It started pretty well if we forget that an admiral place is at his ship and not as a military consulter in a prototype ship. Anakin begins fighting with Trench and it must be the coffee break aboard the separatist ships because everyone else don't give a damn what's happening between those two. And you gotta love how a stealth ship can communicate with another ship without revealing his position, but oh well...

So Anakin fires at Trench which fires back and this military genius doesn't even think "Hell, I have thousands of fighters even though Filoni's team doesn't give a sweat to animate them, maybe I should deploy them". But no, that would be to much logical to this show. He simply rips off Star Trek VI firing some kind of torpedoes that track the magnetic signature of a ship. NOW listen to this, he must lower his shield to do so...

I think you can predict what happens next...  (A very old cliché, if you get my meaning)

LOL

I still didn't reach that point, unfortunately. Now it's time to do a copy-paste of that text at the the clone wars guide of that episode, in the comments section.

Ok, but I still couldn't do it since starwars.com hasn't create an guide for that episode yet. But don't worry, I'm going to post it eventually.

You are strong, strong people. Or very foolsih. Or loyal. Probably a combination.

I was in the bookstore yesterday, and quickly skimmed through the Star Wars Insider. I'd say 80% of it was CW-related. I dropped it immediately, and held it in little higher esteem than I did the Twilight-related apparel.

These are SW's Dark Ages.

I hate to say it but I agree. This CW crap is only slightly better then Twilight.

hmmm maybe George Lucas is a Sith Master and hes doing what Palp did to the senate. Hes awesome at first but then it all goes down hill.

WHY?! WHY?!
Why do you keep torturing us like this?!

Lucas prepping Star Wars animated TV series for younglings
George Lucas is reportedly in pre-planning on another "Star Wars" animated series geared towards the Pre-School and Kindergarten demographic. IESB.net reports that the new series will be based on the popular line of toys "Star Wars: Galactic Heroes". A director has reportedly already been hired for the project. This would make the second currently running animated series (the other being "Star Wars: The Clone Wars") and of course a live-action series is still in the works (despite little news on the project).
