This is where I do my penance now!

« on: March 15, 2008, 08:47:05 PM »

So, let's discuss the Rebellion comics in this board devoted to the Rebel cause. I start this because no-one seems to discuss much about this great series. I really enjoy it. I began at issue #6 and so far am up to issue #11. I loved the whole Ahakista Gambit arc (issues 6 to 10), and I enjoyed the beginning of the Small Victories arc (issue #11). I don't have any of the Marvel issues and only some of Empire comics (Savage Heart, Model Officer, Target Vader), so I love to see Luke, Han and Leia in comics. I hope Chewbacca appears too.

I loved seen characters like Wyl Tarson, Darca Nyl, Laynara and Rasha Bex together. I hope we see more of them. And Raze too.

I still haven't got the second issue in the second arc, of the Rebellion comics, Small Victories. I love character Deena Shan. I love to see the Rebellion's struggle against the Empire. Does anyone else collect it?

By the way, I love Collin Wilson's art. He is not my favourite, but surely he is NOT my least favourite. I never liked Dark Empire Trilogy, I only read Dark Empire 2 and it was enough to make not want to read Dark Empire and Empire's End. I certainly will get the Luke Skywalker comic which collects all Luke Skywalker's comic stories. And then I will read the whole Dark Empire Trilogy. Why do I mention Dark Empire while talking about Collin Wilson? The thing is that Collin Wilson's art reminds me of Dark Empire 2's art (I believe it is the same in the whole DE Trilogy but I'm not sure). I loved the art in DE2. Not the colouring but the art was good. It wasn't the best but it is good, in my opinion. So I'm enjoying Collin's art. I loved his work on Legacy. Though I must say that my favourite artist in Rebellion comics has been the guy who did The Ahakista Gambit (sorry, I can't remember his name) which is my favourite Rebellion arc, so far.

I didn't really like the Ahakista Gambit as much as I liked the first storyline.  The whole idea of it was great and pretty much made all of the Star Wars: Empire comics worthwhile.  I thought that many of the stories were just fill-ins, but they made it into a very important storyline.  It's also been cool to see Luke as a novice Jedi.

BY THE FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BY KARNESS MUUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't You seen the preview for Rebellion: Vector? That's why Dustin Weaver is my favourite artist. Yes, it's true, Wheatley is the greatest ever but Weaver is just near (No-one beats Wheatley's Vader though).
