Samus Aran

Biography:

Personality:

Powers/Abilities:

The Chozo power suit is infused with Samus' nervous system, and is therefore an extension of her body and will.

Samus was born human. But on two occasions she had her genes spliced, giving her extra abilities:

Chozo DNA: She is much more agile and physically durable than a normal human should be. She also has an immunity to the poison

Metroid DNA: She has a natural immunity to the X Parasite, because the Metroid is the natural predator of the X. Samus can absorb the X once it has been forced out of its host. Because of the parasitic nature of Metroids, it is possible that Samus could absorb the life force of other beings as well as the X. Samus now also has a weakness for intense cold, including freeze-based weapons and extreme cold environments.

Suits:

Samus wears a large array of suits, each giving her certain abilities and/or enhancing her skills. The suits enhance on one another. All suits have the abilities that the Power Suit offers. The suits upgrade with unique weapons and abilities acquired during Samus' missions.

Zero Suit:

Samus wears the Zero Suit underneath her other suits. It is possible that this suit is how she connects with her suits. This suit does not give Samus extra abilities, she does have weapons:

- Paralyzer: A ranged / melee weapon that sends a charge through its victims. It paralyzes them for a short time, but is probably non-lethal. This weapon can act as a gun, whip, and grapple.

Power Suit:

The Power Suit is of Chozo creation, and has an array of abilities:

- Durability
- Strength
- Powerbeam
- Morphball: Can transform into a ball. This bomb is capable of releasing concussion bombs.

The Power Suit is upgraded often, and combined with her other suits.

Varia Suit:

Samus' second most used suit, and she usually combines the Power Suit with the Varia Suit on occasion. She usually uses this suit in conjunction with the Power Suit. The abilities include:

- Durability (more than the Power Suit)
- Speed / Agility (more than the Power Suit)
- Environmental Protection: Protection from extreme heat, cold, acid, space, and most other types of environmental hazards.

Gravity Suit:

A suit acquired after the Varia Suit, and uses the Varia Suit's abilities in conjunction with the Gravity Suit. Abilities include:

- Enhanced durability (more than the Varia Suit)
- Free Movement: Can move freely underwater and in magma. It is possible that the Gravity Suit would allow Samus free movement in space.

Phazon Suit:

The Phazon Suit is the corrupted version of the Varia Suit, and offers extra abilities:

- Durability (more than the Varia Suit)
- Phazon Protection: Protects Samus from blue Phazon.
- Phazon Beam: Allows Samus to fire the Phazon Beam, which is stronger than her normal beam.

Dark Suit:

Suit counters the effects of Dark Aether.

- Durability
- Protection from the effects of Dark Aether and the Ingclaw.

Light Suit:

- Durability
-
Protects Samus from the Ingstorm
- Protection from Aether's poisons
- Allows Samus to ride Light Shafts

PED Suit:

The PED (Phazon Enhancement Device) Suit is an enhancement to Samus' Varia Suit. It allows Samus to go into Hypermode. But, like all Phazon devices, the suit corrupted its user. Samus ceased using the suit after Phazon was eradicated. When not in Hypermode, the suit does not offer any abilities that the Varia Suit does not offer.

When Samus goes into Hypermode, she gets the following abilities:

- Phazon Bar: When in Hypermode, the suit has a separate health bar that is not reliant on energy cells. When going into Hypermode, Samus must take away from power from the energy cells.
- Durability: Samus is almost invincible to non Phazon-based weapons.
- Hyperbeam: A much more powerful weapon than the Powerbeam

Fusion Suit:

The Fusion Suit is an altered version of the Power Suit. It was altered when Samus was infused with Metroid DNA to save her life. Samus was unconscious when this occurred, and therefore the suit was bonded to her at the time. So she and the suit were changed (though her physical body does not appear different). The suit does not seem to offer different abilities from the Power Suit, except for the new Metroid abilities:

- Life-Force Absorption: Samus can absorb X Parasites if they're roaming free or forced out of a host. It is unknown if she can absorb the life of other life forms as a Metroid can.

Skills:

Samus was trained by the Chozo from a young age until she was a teenager. She is an excellent hand-to-hand fighter, weapons master, and great acrobat.
