The Beast had many powers. He could transfer his mind into another's body. He was able to control even a whole hive mind of the Ood. He had telekinesis, the ability to breath fire, change his host's skin (adding tattoo-like markings), and survive in the vacuum of space. He could also control devices such as comms and holograms (and speak directly through them). He could also survive even without a host.
